Then Friday, to Night Festival 2012. Started off at SOTA, to SAM, 8Q and then National Museum. Love looking at the pretty light displays (Night Lights) and interesting exhibitions up. There are also performances around the area. They are still open next weekend so be sure not to miss out cuz there are lots to see and experience :)

So long holidays are here. Unfortunately though partner and I will be spending most of our days in the lab doing our final year project, starting tomorrow morning. I just hope we'll have enough samples and finish up as soon as possible. Then I can breathe easy and enjoy the remaining of the holidays, if there will be any, that is.

Been spending most of the weekend watching movies. Lots and lots of them. About ten or so now.
3 Idiots, Becoming Jane, Forrest Gump, One Day, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, The King's Speech... just to name a few.

And because I was bored, I did this to my room wall.

21st

Birthday post!

15th July
Spent the whole day with the girls. Apparently they planned a surprise since a long time ago. Judith went to the extent of lying to me about going back to Melb. She even checked in at the airport on foursquare......... :|

We had dimsum at Royal China, karaoke and then Korean food at BigMama. Amazing times!

18th July
Dinner at Medzs with Eileen and Peiwen after a day of lectures. Was told a white lie with a surprise yet again. It's either all of my friends are sneaky, or that I'm too stupid... hm maybe it's a little of both.

22nd July
Dinner at Zero.Zero with the extended family. Lovely place and we had a table that was overlooking Clarke Quay. The set course had some pretty damn great dishes too. Also loved the fact that we almost had the whole place to ourselves. I secretly love listening to the adults' laughter :)

28th July
Brunch at Club Street Social with the sisters. It's rare for just the 3 of us have a normal sister-sister conversation, let alone have a meal together :')

1st August
Dinner and chill session with primary school/secondary school friends, Yijun, Olivia and Clive. I have encountered too many friendships that came and went, so I'm thankful we managed to have kept in touch for 12 years long! :')

And oh, our attempt at cinnamon challenge.

Btw, Broadcast HQ is a great place to chill at. Haven't tried their food but I love the decor and vibe in there. The manager also kindly gave us a small tour of the bar and dancefloor level, which was closed on that day.

I'm blessed to have so many people close to heart to celebrate my birthday with. I hate awkwardness and not being a party kind of person, I purposely didn't organise a 21st birthday party, which seems to be the hype these days. Seems like it's better this way since I got to spend more quality time with them for a little catch up and that's all that matters :)
